Real Estate Broker at Keller Williams Success Realty
YP Member since 2016
Where are you originally from?
What brought you to the real estate industry?
I always enjoyed helping people. Being in sales for 14 years, I never considered it to be sales; but to offer a solution to clients needs – what product or service can I offer to help the client solve their problem?
What services do you offer? Buy, Sell, Residential, Commercial, etc.
Buying, selling, investing in residential real estate. I would recommend anyone to a few realtors that specialize in commercial properties so they would receive top-notch service.
In such a competitive industry, how do you market client listings to stand out from the crowd?
We have a very unique and proven marketing plan customized to each home to get top-dollar for each client’s property.
How do you stay up to date with current laws and best practices? Are you a member of any agent organizations?
I am very big on education and continued education. I have an associate’s degree in Criminal Justice and a bachelors in Business Management and Finance.
I am part of the National Association of Realtors, Illinois Association of Realtors, and the Heartland Association of Realtors. Currently, I hold ABR (Accredited Buyers Representation), CSC (Certified Staging Consultant), e-PRO, MRP, and SRES.
I am also a McHenry Chamber of Commerce Ambassador and a Young Professional of McHenry member.
Wow, that’s a lot of credentials! Do you have a power team of service providers that you work with? Mortgage lenders, home inspectors, handymen, contractors, etc.
Absolutely! We have a couple realtors on the team, as well assistants – so we can do what we do best! We have a list of experienced providers from lenders, inspectors, contractors, real estate attorneys, roofers, radon specialists, mold specialists, roofers, plumbers and everyone in between. We have worked with our providers on many previous transactions, many we have trusted in our own homes.
Please share one inspirational/impactful client story with us:
I will share why I am so passionate about real estate, why and how I even got into it.
When I was searching for a home, I didn’t know where to go, who to contact or even the questions to ask. I felt as if I was supposed to lean on someone, I just didn’t have that someone in my corner. I had an agent who I thought was working for me but was really working for a check; she was clearly chasing the transaction, not the relationship. When I would ask questions, she would ask me the same questions back to me or “get back to me” and never getting back to me. This agent met me and opened the house, turned on lights, but that was it. No wonder realtors have a bad reputation!
I fired this agent. I told myself that I was going to get my own license, but how do I do that. I learned about this class, signed up (1 seat left) and attended in between full-time hours. I studied countless hours, everyday, after work until 2-3am, until I couldn’t keep my eyes open or until I shut down at the table, computer, etc. (This happened a lot). I heard stories such as the test is hard, it’s made for you to fail, you will have to take it many times. I knew that if I invested this much into the license, I will NOT allow anything to get in the way; I will do whatever it took to pass and offer the best service possible to buyers and sellers. I always had a passion for helping others…some call this sales… I call it creating relationships and showing how a service/product can help a client with a solution.
“Love is not patronizing and charity isn’t about pity, it is about love. Charity and love are the same — with charity you give love, so don’t just give money but reach out your hand instead.”
What do you like most about what you do?
We provide a service that creates a lifetime relationship to each client/family. We stay in contact with each client (even after the transaction), creating a friendship which allows us to watch their family grow. It’s amazing to us to see these what changes in our client’s lives, from first-time homebuyers, to empty nesters, investors building a portfolio or even finding a forever dream home. The relationships are very important to us; listening to each unique situation and over delivering on our promise – puts a smile on our face.
If you can give one piece of professional advice to a potential client, what would it be?
Be completely open and honest and talk to a professional, whether you’re a potential homebuyer or seller. It’s free to you to receive a home valuation. It’s free to you to meet us and have a consultation so we can help understand your needs. This allows us to connect and create a plan.
Where would you go on your dream vacation?
I enjoy anything with a beach. I loved Hawaii and the Caribbean. One of my favorite things is to dive and explore this other world in the ocean. It’s a must see!
