Office Manager at Pediatric Interactions
YP Member since 2017

Where are you originally from?

Michigan, suburb of Detroit. I moved to Illinois almost 9 years ago.

What do you do as an Office Manager at Pediatric Interactions?

Everything but therapy! That’s the joke around the office. But really, I manage the office in Grayslake and now Mchenry. I do the new client intakes, billing, HR, finances, planning and marketing. I opened the Mchenry office a little over a year ago and have focused on building and creating recognition in Mchenry County.

What are some of the services Pediatric Interactions offers families in the community?

We do pediatric speech and feeding therapy for children with developmental delays and disabilities. We also offer social groups and free developmental screenings if parents have questions about their child’s development.

What do you like most about what you do?

I love the people I work with and the flexibility this job affords me. I love it when I’m able to get kids into therapy when the family has struggled getting them in.

You also served our country overseas in the Army as a military police officer. Thank you for your service. Can you please share an impactful experience with us?

While I was overseas, I helped train the Iraqi Police Officers in Baghdad to prepare them to take over when the U.S exited the country. I still keep in touch with a few people I worked with over there and love hearing when they do great things.

Why did you decide to join the Young Professionals of McHenry?

I joined YP because I felt like the people in this group would be similar in age and life stages. I felt like it was a group I would have something in common with and easily connect.

You love to stay active and enjoy running. Any races you currently training for?

I just finished the North Shore Half Marathon and now I am training for the Chicago Marathon. I do have a shameless plug because I am raising money for Weebits and am super excited for this cause. To donate, please go to: fundly.com/run-a-weebit-and-more-for-kids. Every little bit helps!

What are some of the things you enjoy doing on your days off?

I love camping, fishing and hiking with my husband and kids. We have property up north that we go to every weekend we can! If I have any other free time, I like to do Crossfit and play volleyball.
